Our Story
RacterVault was born from a simple realization: existing cloud storage solutions force users to choose between convenience and privacy. Services like Google Drive and Dropbox scan your files. "Secure" alternatives often lack basic features or cost a fortune. And nobody was thinking about what happens to your encrypted data when you're gone.
We founded RacterVault in 2024 with three core principles:
- True Zero-Knowledge: Your data is encrypted on your device before upload. We never have access to your files or keys.
- Quantum-Ready Security: While others use encryption that quantum computers will break, we've implemented NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithms.
- Digital Succession: Your encrypted files shouldn't become permanently inaccessible. Automated succession ensures your legacy reaches the right people.
We chose Iceland as our jurisdiction because of its strong privacy laws, location outside the 14-Eyes surveillance alliance, and commitment to digital rights. Iceland's legal framework aligns perfectly with our mission to protect user privacy.
